Stability of any power system is a major issue for secure operation of the system. The stability of power system is concerned with the behavior of synchronous generators following disturbances. Transmission system in competitive market refers to over loading of transmission lines or transformers due to market settlement. Thus there is a need of enhancing transmission capability of the network. FACTS controllers have the capability of controlling power flow by means of controlling line parameters, voltage injection at some of the angle. In the proposed work optimal location for installation of FACTS device is obtained using NN and the amount of voltage and angle to be injected in the system using UPFC is calculated using Bees algorithm. The method is tested on IEEE 26 bus system but it is general in nature and can be applied to any power system. This paper presents the performance evaluation of power oscillation damping controller based on firefly algorithm (FA) parameter tuning. The power system stabilizer (PSS), unified power flow controller (UPFC), and static synchronous series compensator (SSSC) are tuned with FA by minimizing integral time multiplied by absolute error (ITAE) as an objective function. An integrated multi-stage linear quadratic regulator – power oscillation damping UPFC/SSSC has been proposed with precise tuning of control parameters which results in overall states' oscillation damping as compared to other classical methods. It has been observed that the proposed control structure damps the oscillations adequately and is modular in design methodology. The sample power system comprising six areas has been considered to demonstrate the effectiveness of the concept. The software has been developed based on the proposed work by the authors and the MATLAB code has been generated in R2009b version. The states' inter-relation which has been shown with eigenvalues reflects a better regulation and the step response is also validated. 相似文献

The nanocomposite of titanium‐di‐oxide (TiO2)/iodine (I2) in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) matrix has been explored to be used in hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) sensing applications for the first time. The proposed nanocomposite can be easily casted in the form of thin film on glass substrates as well as free standing membranes. These nanocomposite films and membranes exhibit reduced resistance values and easily observable colour changes in the presence of H2O2. The films also exhibit significant quenching in photoluminescence emission properties upon H2O2 exposure. These sensor responses have been attributed to redox reactions at nanocomposite films and H2O2 interface. The study evaluates the effect of ozone pretreatment on biodegradability enhancement of biomethanated distillery effluent. Results revealed that ozone pretreatment led to biodegradability index (BI = BOD/COD) enhancement up to 0.58 along with COD, color and toxicity reduction of up to 33%, 25% and 40%, respectively. Anaerobic digestion of pretreated effluent resulted in favorable biogas generation with methane content, yield and COD reduction of up to 62%, 39 mL/g COD and 57%, respectively. Kinetics of biogas generation determined by modified Gompertz model indicated methane production potential and production rate of 48.08 mL/g COD and 8.085 mL/g COD.day respectively under optimal conditions. 相似文献

7,8-Dihydroxyflavone (7,8-DHF) is a TrkB receptor agonist, and treatment with this flavonoid derivative brings about an enhanced TrkB phosphorylation and promotes downstream cellular signalling. Flavonoids are also known to exert an inhibitory effect on the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) family of tyrosine kinase receptors. VEGFR2 is one of the important receptors involved in the regulation of vasculogenesis and angiogenesis and has also been implicated to exhibit various neuroprotective roles. Its upregulation and uncontrolled activity is associated with a range of pathological conditions such as age-related macular degeneration and various proliferative disorders. In this study, we investigated molecular interactions of 7,8-DHF and its derivatives with both the TrkB receptor as well as VEGFR2. Using a combination of molecular docking and computational mapping tools involving molecular dynamics approaches we have elucidated additional residues and binding energies involved in 7,8-DHF interactions with the TrkB Ig2 domain and VEGFR2. Our investigations have revealed for the first time that 7,8-DHF has dual biochemical action and its treatment may have divergent effects on the TrkB via its extracellular Ig2 domain and on the VEGFR2 receptor through the intracellular kinase domain. Contrary to its agonistic effects on the TrkB receptor, 7,8-DHF was found to downregulate VEGFR2 phosphorylation both in 661W photoreceptor cells and in retinal tissue. 相似文献

This paper presents physics based analytical model for center potential, electric field and subthreshold drain current of Junctionless Accumulation Mode Cylindrical Surrounding Gate MOSFET (JAM‐CSG). The expressions are derived from Poisson's equation in cylindrical co‐ordinate system based on parabolic potential approximation (PPA). The influence of technology parameter variations such as gate length, silicon pillar diameter and oxide thickness on electrical characteristics is studied in detail. We report investigations on polycrystalline LaCo1?x Al x O3 (x = 0–0.9) bulk samples. The solid state synthesized samples showed a coexistence of rhombohedral and monoclinic phases in the intermediate concentrations (0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.5) and pure rhombohedral phase otherwise. The observed effect of Al doping on dc transport has been analysed on the basis of small polaron hopping mechanism. The magnetisation results presented give evidence of weak ferromagnetism and anomalous temperature dependence of coercivity which we associate to the canting of the localised high-spin Co(III) and anti-symmetric exchange interactions at low temperatures. 相似文献
